Overall Purpose of the Job
To support Quality Assurance and Manufacturing function with operational quality activities
Principal Accountabilities
Carry out scheduled quality and compliance checks in accordance with manufacturing tolerances and company procedures
Ensure that inbound goods are checked for quality and deal with any resultant OFI’s effectively with the relevant supplier
Conduct in process inspections where defined and work with Manufacturing and Engineering to define required inspection
criteria
Collate key quality data, analyse and report findings.
Using various visualisation tools to create data reports and dashboards on behalf of QHSE.
Support of non-conformance processes across all departments.
Train and coordinate any product quality standards to site staff as part of any induction / job training
Support problem solving and quality initiatives to enhance the Quality of the product and systems within Magma.
Make quality judgements and lead quality issue resolution independent of production requirements.

Job Knowledge and Experience
Education & experience – Level 3 qualifications in engineering / quality and minimum 5 years in manufacturing industry
A good understanding of inspection methods and good skills using measurment tools including Callipers, Micrometers and CMM
systems.
A willingness to learn and be highly self-motivated.
Experience of manufacturing quality / HSE systems.
Competent to operate a PC with Microsoft office products.
Knowledge in problem solving and statistical analysis techniques desirable.
Strong communication, team working & people skills.Able to demonstrate a professional & courteous attitude.
Positive attitude to innovation & change.
Able to quickly learn new and complex processes.
