Qualification

Magma has chosen the risk based approach advocated in DNV-RP-A203 with independent assurance from Lloyds Register as the basis for qualification of its range of m-pipe® risers, jumpers and spools. 

Using this systematic approach Magma has made detailed reference to DNV-RP-F202, DNV-RP-F204, DNV-OS-F101, DNV-OS-C501 and DNV-OS-F201 to ensure it has fully captured industry best practice for these products. When addressing individual projects, Magma has then overlaid company specific and relevant territorial standards in addition to the individual project requirements.

Magma has used these standards and requirements to guide a comprehensive set of qualification tests of both pipe and end fitting. These tests cover both mechanical and environmental performance and have been completed at a range of pipe diameters.
