Such jumpers are often highly dynamic and conventional non-bonded flexible pipe has the disadvantage of high weight and limitations on rated pressure and maximum diameter. m-pipe® can reduce vessel and riser payloads and accommodate higher rated pressures allowing the free standing risers to be used in a diameter / pressure regime not previously possible and such is an enabler for these applications. 

Where production fluids are gases rather than liquids some additional external weight coating is typically necessary depending on the extent of vessel motions.  This is achieved through conventional heavy weight coatings or use of ballast chains.
